A quest for the finish, what is the meaning?

In our high paced lifes we live we always seem to be moving towards the finish, towards accopmlishment, fulfillment, success.  What is it that drives us?  Human nature, evolution of our species, a desire for self-reward.  Realizing it has been quite a while since my last entry, life has been chugging along, no major highlights stick out other than simply living and loving!   York Street saga is sadly nearing completion, floors came out better than I could ever have hoped, bringing the whole place together, as the temps have turned cold, the oil burner has done a great job of bleeding me dry, lots of activity on the real estate front and a few trips to Goddards Pond in Bath for some great ice skating excursions.
