Hearing my most recent blog being read aloud at my grandmothers funeral was an interesting and unique experience making me realize the value and powerfulness of wonderful words. As I agonize now as to where to write, being the creation of a new site and blog for our Caribbean trip. www.CaribbeanEndeavour.com with the hope that Steve and Jordi shall add as much meaningful and important
content about our exploits the balancing of multiple platforms seems to be a common thread throughout life. Boat survey tomorrow, read about it at the other site
and then 10 year high school reunion this coming weekend, a busy and action packed time ahead…Â Thanks to all who came to show the love for my grandmother and our family…

Today our grandmother passed on to be with her husband and many others in perhaps a better place than this physical earth we live on. I guess we will only know when we get there ourselves. A wonderful life she had, a spectacular grandmother and I can only suspect a super mom to both my father and Aunt Katy. Fond memories of the holidays, Christmas Eve, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter always spent with her and many loved ones, I only hope we can continue to carry on some of the great traditions we have had for so long. With death one gets to rethink their life and the preciousness of each moment, each site, sound, thought, memory we have. Be happy for your own health and those around you. Say a prayer and do a nice deed for someone else.

So for many who are in the know, the journey South continues to grow and take great shape. With a tentative departure date set for November 5th from Maine, brrr.. The name of the game now has been to get a boat. Keeping our fingers crossed, the sites have been set on this one…click here and the financial wheels continue to turn ensuring the purchase will be a successful one. Cruising ready but for being on dry land the last 3 years, comfortable quarters, a solid and safe vessel, strong and hopefully fast enough to take Jordi, Steve and myself upon the voyage of exitement and mystery. September has been great! Cooperating weather, continued sailing, lots of real estate work, a little stock trading, Patriots fever, not sure what is going on with the SOX and many great times shared with many.

3 weeks since the last posting on my site, hmmm… what could this mean? lack of interesting things to write about, no time to write, uninterest in sharing personal tidbits of my fascinating
life… Well, life
continues to move in fairly predictable ways as of late. As I write from the revamped Shrimp Shed aka Yacht Club, the sun is shining, the temperature is cool and Fall is fast approaching as the leaves have begun their annual shift. Simply heavenly weather over Labor Day that included for myself sailing, boating, lobstering, lobster bake, tennis, and great times as always with family and friends. The Santa Maria managed to pull off a 2nd in the Saturday July series, the first medaling of the boat ever, thank you Gordon and all other excellent crew members!  Plans for the excursion South move forward as well, departure date the 1st of November, brrr……. Estate/Garage sale at Sybs this Saturday at 10 for all and anybody who needs furniture. Best of wishes and stay postitive, optimistic and happy as best as you always can…..

A most successful Summer Days weekend with much thanks to all who came, 13 racers I belive it was with the infamous Mr. Jordi St. John winning the day.  Clam chowder, lobster bake, “Sybs” dance party, water skiing and more. A quick trip to POrtland today for myself then back to the coast to work from the computer, continue sailing in the small point races, perhaps a quick tennis match here or there, preparing for the Carribbean excursion and enjoying friends, family and lots of good times all the while working on mental and physical health. A trip to Sequin last week, cocktails at Aliquippa, benefit concert for Kaiulani, check out her site here, beach fires, dock jumping, bike riding, search engine opimization, renting of homes, showing property, learning about diesel engines, speed scrabble tournaments, does it ever end. Summer on the coast of Maine, ahhhh

Love. Not some cheesy story you listen to in a movie or hear about on a soap opera. Love in the sense of caring for someone, not in a physical necessarily but in a whole hearted happiness and sense of well being that when you say it there are no strings attached but for a desire to live up to ones ful capacity. I write about this topic tonight because I feel a stong sense of closeness/love for myself as well as the many wonderful people I am blessed to be surrounded by, my siblings, my parents, my friends and my aquaintences.  Perhaps it is the summer air, hot and humid all day today, felt like NJ or maybe it is all the nutritional supplements I have been taking, or maybe simply a growing change in the way I view life, love and the pursuit of happiness…irregardless I am happy, I am optimistic for continued improvement in my world as well as the entire world we live in. The world is ours to shape and create, imagine the best and carpe diem it!

Down at Syb’s with brother Scot, dogs Keira and Brucey. Awekening to the ocean, the sounds, the smell illicits such happy feeling of emotion, yet watching the “Inconvienient Truth” last night, I realized we really must make strides to protect these wonderful resources we have before it is too late. As a country we are the worst contributers by far to global warming yet we go spend billions upon billions on a war to grab more fossil fuel to burn. An interesting scale was shown as the choice we seem to be making, gold bars vs the entire planet and we as a nation are choosing the gold bars, hmmm…well we can all do our part, I for one am preparing to hop on my bike to visit friends for some breakfast. Ask…Believe…Receive….

What a great quote for me to read and re-read as I seem to be going in many directions right now with work, love,  recreation and mind/soul/body stability.  The world we live in offers an immense wealth of opportunity, avenues to explore, doorways to open, good deeds to be done, happiness to spread, pursuits to accomplish.  Sitting at York Street, finished some great raspberries, blueberry, ice cream concoction created by my mom after enjoying a great dinner with her at Wasthington street, a jacuzzi after a torential down pour on my 2 wheel convertible
left me a bit soggy, a trip to the gym, some crabs and mussels with Johnny, succesful iniiation of web endeavors with Will and Leigh, spackle and floor painting with Scot, awakening in West Point to fog and mist. All in a days day…..

A gorgeous, bright and sun filled day here in Maine, a most interesting last week where I got to meet many great souls, give back to the community and take a break from the hustle and bustle of every day living. What have I learned.. that a lot of this society lacks ambition, motivation and the drive to excel, yet despite all this, the human soul is strong in most people, good still outnumbers evil and despite all the laziness and apathy in our world, hope is still plentiful and if we can got a good leader to run this country and come togethe as a nation and a world, the potential is limitless. On a more practical note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY sister Bryn, plans for a cruise aboard the Triggs tonight, the running of a triathalon in Bath tomorrow and BBQ Clambake tomorrow at SYBS….
